Message from Bhutan
Dear Drukpa Spiritual Family,
I pray that all of you are in best of health and filled with spiritual and temporal happiness.
Our little group of ADC volunteers in Bhutan, including myself, along with the support from all you have been slowly but steadily making progress on preparation of the First ADC. I am certain that with the blessing of His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa and our many lineage masters, the First ADC will be spiritually successful and its beneficial effects will be felt for many generations to come.
As many of you know, after Buddha Shakyamuni passed into Mahaparinirvana, three Buddhist Councils took place. The purpose was to preserve the teachings of the Buddha and the monastic discipline or Vinaya. And I think in today's degerate time, it is even more necessary to periodically to revive many aspects of Dharma which are on the verge of disappearing.
I have heard recently that some international Drukpa Sangha members feel that the ADC is for the lineage masters and their individual participation is not necessary. I wish to state that this is far from the truth.
First of all, the spiritual lineage or the lineage of Dharma is held by Sangha along with Buddha or the masters. Secondly, except for the 6th and 7th April, programs for the rest of the eight days are mainly for the Sangha and the newcomers to the Dharma. The programs consist mainly of teachings that relate to the history of the Drukpa Lineage and to the application of Buddha's teachings in daily life. A number of Live to Love activities have also been planned.
I wish to also stress that, as His Holiness has already emphasized many times, ADC will be a great opportunity for many of you to meet so many enlightened Dragon masters from Bhutan, Tibet, India, Nepal and to receive teachings and blessings from them. It is such a rare and precious opportunity to receive teaching and blessings from so many qualified masters in a location and at one time.

Thank you very much and I wish you all, great success in your spiritual and material endeavours.
Yours Truly,
Khamtrul Jigme Pema Nyinjadh
