"The Dragon Yogis" werden beim ADC veröffentlicht
The book The Dragon Yogis is definitely a precious compilation of selected biographies and teachings of the enlightened masters of the Drukpa Lineage from its founder, the First Gyalwang Drukpa Tsangpa Gyare Yeshe Dorje to its contemporary masters of today. This is definitely going to be the first of many series of teachings and biographies to be published over the years. Here are excerpts of the forewords and preface included in the book:
“The lineage of the Drukpa, since the auspicious moment its founder witnessed nine dragons flying up into the sky amidst positive omens, has been practiced by many serious practitioners, who attained enlightenment within one lifetime. They left behind physical and spiritual legacies that we are still able to see and read as moral encouragement on the very lonely path of spirituality, in a time that modernization and materialism have seemingly become the driving motivation behind every external development in our society.” – Foreword by His Holiness the present Gyalwang Drukpa
“This collection of biographies and teachings of the masters of the glorious Drukpa Lineage is complete in its content and subject. I rejoice in the effort made to bring forth this book and pray that it be of great benefit to Dharma practitioners in general and followers of the Drukpa Lineage in particular.” - Foreword by His Holiness the 70th Je Khenpo
“This book briefly introduces the history of the Drukpa Lineage and biographies of some of the great Drukpa masters and shares the spiritual treasures of the lineage with excerpts from their teachings…. It is our hope that this book will serve as the key to unlocking the door of the vast spiritual treasure trove of the Drukpa Lineage and ultimately lead all sentient beings to complete enlightenment.” – Preface by Kyabje Khamtrul Rinpoche Jigme Pema Nyinjadh
And an introduction by Professor John A. Ardussi, a historian in Tibetan Studies based in the United States of America.
